adobe illustrator can open eps files with no issues. to open an eps file, you’re going to need a dedicated application. an svg file can be viewed in a standard browser such as google chrome, microsoft edge, and firefox. Eps files are slightly different than other vector file types. under “other options” select eps viewer and then check the box next to “always use this app to open. Eps viewer doesn’t come with any preferences, so if your eps files doesn’t automatically open with it, the right click on the file and choose “open with > choose another app”. macos users benefit from the system’s built in reader, allowing apple products to easily render eps files for display and preview. opening an eps file depends on the device you’re using. you’ll need an app like adobe illustrator to view and edit eps images.
